Editor's Welcome: Each year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) convenes an annual meeting to consider comments from the public on how new laboratory tests are to be reimbursed. CMS allows public input during this meeting for all new tests and procedures to be included in the following year's Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS). This year, CMS will hold the Annual Laboratory Public Meeting on Thursday, June 24. This meeting, like last year, will be virtual with participants asked to submit slides explaining the rationale for how new codes should be priced on the 2022 CLFS. The deadline for participants to summit their materials is June 3, 2021. Today, we will review the purposes of this meeting and comment on some of the new tests included on the meeting agenda....
