CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: 12/30/2020
Editor's Welcome:
For 2021, CMS has chosen to use gap-filling to price an unusually large number of new tests on the Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS). The final pricing determination includes 53 gap-filled tests, representing 40% of all new tests, including most of the new COVID-19 antigen and antibody tests. Today, we will revisit how gap-filling works and the inherent processes and timelines. As always, please send your questions, comments, and suggestions for future CodeMap® Compliance Briefings to us via email. Happy New Year.
