CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: April 16, 2020
Editor's Welcome: Coding and reimbursement information concerning COVID-19 testing seems to continually evolve and/or change. Late last week, the American Medical Association (AMA) CPT® Editorial Panel convened a second special meeting to approve codes specific for reporting COVID-19 antibody testing. During the April 10 meeting, the panel revised one procedure code and established two additional procedure codes to provide increased specificity to report serologic laboratory testing for COVID-19. These developments are explained in today's CodeMap® Compliance Briefing.
