CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: March 8, 2019
Editor's Welcome: Today, we will review a subclass of physician consultations, usually performed by pathologists, that can be performed for tests on the Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule. Rules for billing these "clinical laboratory interpretation services" are often misunderstood, especially when the lab services are provided in physician owned laboratories. As such, we continually receive email and phone questions concerning clinical pathology consultations and interpretations. Hopefully, today's CodeMap® Compliance Briefing will bring some clarity to these Medicare rules and regulations. As always, please send us your questions and suggestions for future briefings via email.
Sincerely,<....
