CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: August 17, 2016
Editor's Welcome: Medicare recently expanded its coverage to include screening tests for the Human papillomavirus (HPV) for specified beneficiaries. As is customary, CMS has issued new HCPCS codes to identify screening versus diagnostic HPV tests. Today, we will discuss the Medicare coverage requirements for both screening and diagnostic HPV testing. In addition, we will explain the appropriate codes providers must use to report both types of procedures. As always, please let us know your comments, suggestions, and questions via email.
Sincerely,
Gregory Root, Esq.
