CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: July 15, 2016
Editor's Welcome: Each year, CMS holds a public meeting concerning the Medicare Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS). The purpose of the annual meeting is to allow stakeholders, such as laboratories, hospitals, professional organizations, and manufacturers, to publicly comment on new, revised, and reconsidered codes that will be added to the following year's CLFS. CMS' annual meeting for 2016 will be held next Monday, July 17. Today's CodeMap® Compliance Briefing will discuss the new codes that will be added to 2017 CLFS and are the focus of the upcoming meeting. In addition, we will offer our opinion as to what stakeholders may have to say about how these codes should be priced. As always, please forward any questions, comments, or suggestions via email.
