CMS held its annual Clinical Laboratory Public Meeting on July 16th to hear stakeholders comments on how new codes that will appear in the 2016 CLinical Laboratory Fee SChedule (CLFS) will be reimbursed. In addition to new codes that will be published in the 2016 CPT®, CMS also included two new drug testing HCPCS codes for comment. Over 20 presenters provided brief comments, primarily on new molecular pathology codes and the proposed new drug codes. Numerous other, more comprehensive comments are expected to be submitted to CMS during the next two weeks. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or opinions you wish to share.
