CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: March 15, 2013

Editor's Welcome

The Budget Control Act of 2011 required mandatory across-the-board reductions in Federal spending, also known as sequestration if Congress did not achieve certain budgetary reductions. The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 postponed temporarily sequestration. However, since Congress did not act to control spending or repeal sequestration, as required by law, President Obama issued a sequestration order on March 1, 2013. Today, we will explore the upcoming effects of sequestration on clinical laboratories and pathologists.  As always, please send use your questions, comments, or suggestions via email.
