CodeMap® Compliance Briefing: 5/21/2010
Editor's Welcome:
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has begun to write regulations implementing the new Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, commonly known as Health Care Reform. CMS's current acronym for this new law is PPACA, however, some notices have already shortened it to simply the ACA. In any case, the PPACA requires that claims must be submitted within one year of the date of service in order to be paid. In this CodeMap® Compliance Briefing, we will discuss how this new rule will be implemented. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
Sincerely,
Gregory Root, Esq.
