FRIDAY COMPLIANCE BRIEFING: 10/25/2002
EDITOR'S WELCOME
The following Friday Compliance Briefing will introduce our provider subscribers to the recently finalized privacy regulations of HIPAA. In the coming weeks we will address HIPAA in more detail including policy development, employee training, and other important issues. Most provider organizations have until April 14, 2002, to comply with the privacy regulations. Fortunately, you still have some time. However, do not wait too long to implement measures to comply with these regulations. The following briefing will outline in general terms the steps you will need to take prior to the implementation date. As always please feel free to forward questions, concerns, or ideas for future Friday Compliance Briefings.
Sincerely,
Gregory Root, Esq.
