As our subscribers know, compliance requires a comprehensive understanding of the federally funded health care programs and their requirements. Health care providers that participate in these programs must be fluent in the language of compliance that includes numerous terms, abbreviations, and concepts that are unique to compliance activities. Failure to recognize, understand, and use this vocabulary will weaken any provider organization's efforts to remain in full compliance. Over the next few weeks, we will publish a four-part series of CodeMap Compliance Briefings dedicated to the vocabulary of compliance.
