CodeMap Compliance Briefing: 3/17/2006
Editor's Welcome:
The OIG has repeatedly recommended to health care providers that they create and maintain a disclosure program as part of an effective compliance program. A disclosure program provides a mechanism for employees to anonymously report any matter they suspect violates criminal, civil, or administrative law and/or the provider's compliance policies. This week, we will discuss the elements of an effective disclosure program and the relevant OIG guidance. As always, feel free to forward any questions and/or comments. Your input often dictates the subject matter of upcoming CodeMap Compliance Briefings.
Sincerely,
Gregory Root, Esq.
