CodeMap Compliance Briefing: 11/12/04
Editor's Welcome
As part of the annual update to the 2005 Medicare Laboratory Fee Schedule, CMS has released new information concerning venipunctures. Considering the fact that a majority of laboratory procedures require a blood draw, providers should pay close attention to any changes to the rules and regulations concerning the performance and billing of venipunctures. As always, fee free to email us any questions or suggestions.
Sincerely,
Gregory Root, Esq.
