Recently, we have witnessed increasing confusion amongst our subscribers concerning the updates to Medicare coverage policies, in particular, National Coverage Determinations (NCDs) and Local Medical Review Policies (LMRPs). To help alleviate the confusion, this week's CodeMap Compliance Briefing will explain the processes by which each of these coverage policies are updated. In addition, this briefing will give readers advance warning on what to expect in the coming months.
The CodeMap Compliance Briefing will be taking a two week summer break starting next week in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. The next briefing is scheduled for release on July 16, 2004.
